Kristian Colantonio is an Argentine screenwriter and director who started his career at the age of 20 when he was chosen by INCAA (Argentina’s National Institute of Film and Audiovisual Arts) to direct his first 35mm short film.
Kristian studied filmmaking at Manuel Antín’s Universidad del Cine, and drama at Julio Chavez’s Instituto de entrenamiento actoral.
In 1998 he opened his own school of drama and film studies in Valparaíso, Chile, where he lived for 7 years. There, he wrote and directed more than 15 plays; and he was co-author of 23 short films and 8 feature films.
He has directed commercials, TV shows and documentaries. Between 2007 and 2010 he wrote six fiction feature films, two documentaries (one of which was broadcast on Al Jazeera) as well as a TV series.
In 2010 he started with to produce SNIF (first work – self-financed) and has been looking for post-production funds.
